Did you know that the increase in virtuality has increased considerably this year? The advancement of new technologies is increasingly evident. Especially in times of pandemic, users first go online to search for information about brands, products and/or services related to what your brand offers. Every day, more users constantly access the Internet through their smart devices (computers, tablets and smartphones). Whether for educational, work, informative or entertainment purposes, they turn to this powerful and useful tool, which in turn makes them susceptible to being exposed to different types of offers.

This is where we see the importance of our brand's presence on the internet, because through multiple tools and channels, it allows us not only to make ourselves visible and position ourselves, but also to create effective marketing campaigns that generate impact and reach the ideal client directly. Below, we show you some of the most successful rules and keys to succeed in digital marketing.

1) Makes searching easier

Did you know that more than 60% of users have tried voice search in the last 12 months? At least 55% of young people do it daily. Therefore, if you want to increase your presence on the Internet and facilitate the search for your brand, it is important that you investigate with your marketing team what are the keywords by which your clients could search for you and how they would do it.

Likewise, you can use SEO and SEM positioning strategies, which, whether organic or paid, will allow you to appear among the first results when your audience searches for topics related to what you offer.

2) Focus on the quick view

Maybe you've heard of “the blink test.” It takes only three to five seconds for users to determine if your website offers what they are looking for. Different studies claim that people process digital images 600,000 times faster than text, which makes infographics one of the most effective ways to deliver information to your clients, especially in this type of media. Likewise, make sure your content is easy to interact with for various types of clients, take care of your language and make it inclusive.

Email Marketing Rules

Digital marketing gives us a large number of communication channels to incorporate into our strategy and obtain favorable results. Email marketing is one of them. This tool not only allows us to communicate with our present or future customers at different stages of the customer journey, but also allows us to personalize and control communication to arrive with the right messages, at the right time. Follow these tips and create successful email marketing campaigns

1) Make calls to action

The “Call to Action” is essential in any marketing campaign. Therefore, you must make sure to include calls to action that lead your present or potential customers to perform a certain action, according to your objectives (click, visit, buy, download, among others). Make sure you are clear, direct and to the point.

2) Personalize communication

Although email marketing allows us to send emails in bulk, it also gives us certain tools to personalize our messages. If you want your campaigns to connect with your audience and be truly effective, make sure you personalize them in such a way that the client feels that it is uniquely and especially directed to them. To do this, do not limit yourself to using their name only in the subject or greeting. Mention it on different occasions, use assertive communication and segment your audience in such a way that your messages reach the ideal person, at the right time.

3) Less is more

Every day digital users have less time to consume content. For this reason, if your emails are long or loaded with content, you will automatically be creating a visual barrier that will encourage your client to abandon it. Direct your messages with brief, clear and concise language. Focus on quality, not quantity.

4) Focus on one product or service

Don't confuse your readers. If you flood them with different information about products or services, the effectiveness of your (CTA) will be directly affected.

5) Catch them with the subject

One of the most important parts of an email is the subject. Through this small information, users determine whether their content interests them or not. Make sure you are direct and creative. Don't let your emails become spam.

6) Use space

Instead of creating long paragraphs packed with information, space out your main ideas and messages so they are easier to scan and process. The more you make it easier for your customers to read, the more effective your email marketing campaign will be.

7) Create clickable images

Creating images with URLs allows you to encourage interaction and track who clicks. Additionally, you can use them to direct consumers to strategic sites and facilitate their conversion.

Rules of marketing for social media

Learning how to market on social media is an integral part of every business's success. This type of platform transcends all physical and temporal barriers, allowing us to massively reach present or future clients, to make them part of our online community. Unlike other types of channels, social media allows us to establish interactive and two-way communication with our consumers, which, managed appropriately, becomes an effective tool to make your brand visible and position, while building loyalty and converting your target audience.

Each social media has a different format and language, so if you want to succeed in them, first understand the trends and know where to focus your efforts. Here are some tips:

1) Develop valuable content

The essence of social media is the construction of online communities, supported by promises of mutual exchange. If you want to strengthen ties with your audience and hook your consumers, don't limit yourself to offering commercial content about the products or services that your brand offers. Create interesting and useful content that aims to satisfy the needs or interests of your ideal client.

2) Interact with your community

Social media is not limited to posting. If you really want to retain your audience and build a community, interact with it. If they leave you comments or messages, don't miss out on responding to them. Likewise, try to encourage interaction. Make content that motivates your audience to participate.

3) Focus on reputable content

When generating content, take care that the themes and language used do not put the company's reputation at risk. Some users are extremely sensitive and can cause discord if they disagree with what you are expressing.

4) Don't force the commitment

On social media, the public has the power to interact with a company on their own terms. Don't pressure your clients. Focus on developing deep relationships that encourage open consumer interaction.

5) Automate within what is responsible

Don't dehumanize your brand. If you are going to use your content, make sure the platform is flexible enough to make changes in a timely manner and hold yourself to the highest standard. Now with an overview of the main, unbreakable and timeless rules of digital marketing, you can include them in your strategy to achieve the desired results. Don't forget to constantly investigate market trends and adapt your actions to the constant changes in the industry and society.
